During the spring, Cinema Massimo interrupts its habitual routine, in order to become the location of the festival and to welcome well-known characters from both the Italian and the international film industry. The festival is combined with exhibitions and other cultural events, spread throughout the city, giving the possibility to visitors to meet their myths.
Ogni edizione è caratterizzata inoltre dall’omaggio Every year a '''un grande regista'''prize is assigned to a director, presentandone le opere e celebrandolo con un premio alla carrierafor his career and all his productions are shown in the days of the festival.
