Lecce turns into a “red carpet” getting ready to welcome directors and actors from all over the world, to participate in the Cinema Europeo Festival.

During the spring, Cinema Massimo interrupts its habitual routine, in order to become the location of the festival and to welcome well-known characters from both the Italian and the international film industry. The festival is combined with exhibitions and other cultural events, spread throughout the city, giving the possibility to visitors to meet their myths.

Every year a prize is assigned to a director, for his career and all his productions are shown in the days of the festival. However, fair space is also left for new comers and short films.
