During May, for four days, the devotees from the town of Squinzano, celebrate the Virgin. The main location of celebrations is the church of Beata Vergine Maria Regina. This church has a peculiar elliptical structure, quilt with “carparo”, a particular stone extracted from the mine of the near town of Casalabate.

On May 20th, it starts the civil celebrations with shows and cultural events. On 21st, in the late afternoon, the religious procession starts from the church of Beata Vergine Maria Regina, going throughout all the main streets of the town.

The evenings of celebration are livened up by concerts in the main square, surrounded from decoration and colourful luminarie (decorative wood structures with lights).
