Massaro was the “manager” of a farm/real estate. The legend says that the one of Cerrate, in the municipality of Squinzano, was Mr. Tore Quaranta.
One day, the sheeps of Mr. Tore Quaranta got sick and the general believe was that he was hit by the evil eye because someone was jealous of his beautiful wife. To act against the evil eye, Mr. Tore Quaranta decided to hang a talisman on the tower of his real estate.
However, while he was going to do this. The admirer of his wife, waited that he was out of the house and took the chance to get inside.
