“Sagra de lu ranu” is an event which take place in Merine, municipality of Lizanello, to celebrate one of the most rich and fundamental agricultural product: the wheat.
Wheat is the main ingredient in the gastronomic stalls of the event. Indeed, it is possible to taste focaccia, handmade pasta and pittule, the fried dough filled with olives and tomatoes. Last but not least, the food offer is completed with dessert, always based on wheat, like pasticciotti, puffy dough filled with crema pasticcera.
Concerti, spettacoli e artisti di strada animano le serate di festa, durante le quali si possono assaggiare anche prelibati dolci artigianali a base di grano come i “pasticciotti” ripieni di crema.
