Archaeological museum

Cavallino is a small town few kilometres far from the city of Lecce. The town has very ancient origin, which makes it an important archaeological site. In the area of Cavallino, archaeologists found the remains of an ancient town where the Massapi inhabited. The remains can be seen in the large area of “Museo Diffuso” (diffused museum).

The Archaeological museum was created to collect the most important objects found during the conducted researches.

The museum will slowly turn as well into a formation centre, which will host archaeologists from all over the world.
