The inauguration of the academic year is an important meeting moment for professors, employees and students. The university celebrated 60 years from the foundation in 2015.
The event takes place at Ecotekne, a university department right outside the city, towards Monteroni. The dean of the university invites all students, professors, employees and researchers from the six departments.
Several events take place in this day. Among them, a remarkable one is the lectio magistralis, held each year from a chosen person, known worldwide. Moreover, collateral events are spread in the city, such as exhibitions and concerts.
