“Sagra dell’ulivo” is the festival of the olive tree. Thus, the main character of this festival is the precious juice of olives: the olive oil. The festival takes place in Melendugno, near to the Adriatic Coast.
During the festival is possible to experience olive oil tastings, from the fruity and light oil to the intense ones. The gastronomic stalls offer traditional dishes of the area, where an olive oil dressing is always a fundamental ingredient.
The local wines are offered as well in the gastronomic stalls, to be tasted along with the food, to better enhance the food taste.
