Pampasciune is a small pink bulb, from the family of the onions. This peculiar vegetable is celebrated in Acaya, municipality of Vernole. The pampasciune is cultivated in the area for many years and it is used in several recipes. During the celebrations for the Vergine Addolorata, known as well as “la Madonna te li pampasciuni”, outside the church of Madonna della Neve are places gastronomic stalls to try this peculiar onion.
