Religious and civil rituals take place in Novoli in honour of Saint Luigi Gonzaga. The spiritual preparation starts in the beginning of June and the days of celebration are 20th and 21st.
On 20th, after the service, takes place the traditional ceremony of keys consignment to the Saint. Afterwards, the procession takes the statue of Saint Luigi throughout the city to bless the citizens and their houses
On 21st, the town is coloured from luminarie (decorative wood structures with lights) and air balloons. For the entire day, until the evening, is possible to hear the notes of the marching band. In the evening, the service celebrated by the Bishop of Lecce, indicates the end of the celebrations.
