The town of Castri celebrate its Patron Saint Vito in the beginning of the summer, through both religious and civil rituals.
The core location for the celebration is Caduti square. The celebration is dedicated to San Vito Martire, the protector of actors, dancers and hoteliers as well as of people bitten by a dog. Celebration starts on 24th June but the crucial day of celebration is the 15th, when the statue of the Saint is taken on procession through the town.
La giornata si chiude con le fragorose esplosioni di fuochi pirotecnici, sulle note della banda che suona dal vivo fino a tarda sera.
