In Castri, for the Virgin day, takes place a large fair with very ancient origins.
Fin dalle prime ore del mattino, l’aria di festa si fa sentire con le celebrazioni religiose per rendere omaggio alla Vergine. Le bancarelle dei mercanti sono già pronte per accogliere i visitatori, che si riversano per le vie in cerca di buoni affari o semplicemente per fare una passeggiata e salutare i compaesani.
I venditori propongono merce d’ogni tipo. Oggetti vari, abbigliamento e accessori, suppellettili per la casa e non solo. Proprio come una volta, si possono acquistare anche piccoli animali e attrezzi agricoli, indispensabili per il lavoro di allevatori e contadini che si preparano ad affrontare l’inverno.
