Religious and civil rituals take place in Novoli in honour of Saint Luigi Gonzaga. The spiritual preparation starts in the beginning of June and the days of celebration are 20th and 21st.
On 20th, after the service, takes place the traditional ceremony of keys consignment to the Saint. Afterwards, the procession takes the statue of Saint Luigi throughout the city to bless the citizens and their houses

Sacro e profano convivono a Novoli nei festeggiamenti in onore di San Luigi Gonzaga. Se la preparazione spirituale inizia a metà giugno, i giorni 20 e 21 rappresentano il clou delle celebrazioni.
Il giorno della vigilia, dopo la messa si svolge la tradizionale cerimonia di consegna delle chiavi al santo. La processione si snoda quindi per le vie di Novoli, accompagnando la statua di San Luigi a benedire i fedeli e le loro case.
Luminarie e palloni aerostatici fanno risplendere il paese e il 21 giugno la banda fa risuonare allegre melodie fino a sera, quando la messa solenne celebrata dal Vescovo di Lecce annuncia la conclusione dei festeggiamenti.
