“Lu scarpalau laureatu” - the graduated shoemaker - is a traditional carnival character from the town of Monteroni.

The parade walks through the streets of the town, through Via Cavour, Via Mazzini, Via Roma and it arrives in Falconieri square, where is located Palazzo Ducale. “Lu scarpalau laureatu” is the symbol of Monteroni’s Carnival and it guides the parade on the first line.
