During the summer, the village of Roca Nuova, part of the municipality of Melendugno, goes back in time, for a dinner with history. The initiative is organised thanks to the effort of Pro Loco Melendugno.
In the space adjacent to the control tower placed in the village, with a magical surrounding, it takes place a dinner, which brings the visitors back to the time of legionnaires. At midnight, visitors will admire a fireworks show.
Walking through the streets of the village, it is possible to admire ancient rituals, like crossbow, antique music, fire-eaters and it is possible to try horse riding, as the a real knight from that time, as well as to taste the traditional Roman food, throughout the gastronomic stalls.

During the summer, the village of Roca Nuova, part of the municipality of Melendugno, goes back in time, for a dinner with history. The initiative is organised thanks to the effort of Pro Loco Melendugno.
La rievocazione storica è ambientata al tempo dei legionari e immerge i visitatori in un’atmosfera suggestiva ai piedi della imponente torre di guardia del borgo che a mezzanotte si colora con spettacolari fuochi pirici.
Antichi rituali, duelli, musiche, mercatini allestiti nelle caratteristiche abitazioni di Roca, balestrieri e mangiafuoco fanno da cornice all’ormai atteso evento che invita anche a sedere alla tavola dei Romani per assaporare i piatti dell’epoca, a gironzolare tra gli stand gastronomici o, magari, con l’aiuto di guide esperte, montare a cavallo per provare l’ebrezza dei cavalieri di un tempo.
