This is the perfect event to discover the amazing architectures and hidden nature of the city.
For 20 years, thanks to the effort of the association Dimore Storiche, the heart of the baroque city becomes open to the public. For two days several antique residences, usually closed or inaccessible for citizens and tourists, are open to public.
Walking through the massive gates of wrought iron and the stunning arches in pietra leccese (typical stone of the area), the visitor is plunged into secret gardens, where each small detail becomes a unique surprise.

Alla scoperta di tesori dell’arte e della natura tra le più belle architetture di Lecce.
Da oltre vent’anni, a maggio, il cuore della città barocca svela le sue meraviglie grazie all’Associazione dimore storiche. Per due giorni, i visitatori possono varcare liberamente la soglia di incantevoli palazzi privati, di solito non accessibili.
Oltre gli eleganti cancelli in ferro battuto e gli imponenti portali che sembrano ricamati nella pietra leccese, si è avvolti dal verde lussureggiante di giardini segreti, veri e propri paradisi pronti a sorprendere lo sguardo con dettagli preziosi.
Dalle piante rare alle sculture, dagli antichi pozzi ai pergolati in fiore, la passeggiata è allietata da spettacoli e concerti. I visitatori sono guidati dagli studenti delle scuole del territorio.
