Il giorno della vigilia, il 21 agosto, le celebrazioni culminano nella processione con la statua del santo, portata dai fedeli sulle spalle per le vie del paese. Il 22 agosto la banda rallegra il centro di Squinzano fin dalle prime ore del mattino e, in serata, piazza Sant’Anna accoglie un concerto di musica dal vivo.
Durante i festeggiamenti per il santo, a Squinzano si svolge anche la Sagra di San Rocco, con numerosi stand gastronomici per degustare le specialità della cucina del Salento.
