La tradizione cristiana vuole siano stati i genitori di Maria e i simulacri di '''Sant’Anna e San Gioacchino''' portati in processione a Vernole per la festa a loro dedicata esprimono, infatti, l’amorevolezza dei genitori.

Le pregiate statue, che comprendono anche la Madonna bambina, sono '''condotte a spalla''', insieme ai numerosi ex voto di oro, dai robusti portatori in maniche di camicia.

Il paese indossa così gli abiti eleganti delle luminarie e risuona delle sinfonie dei '''concerti bandistici'''.

I fiati e i dorati ottoni della banda accompagnano anche la partecipata processione e la musica continua a diffondersi dalla luminosa cassarmonica allestita in piazza intrattenendo il paese insieme ai colori delle bancarelle.

La festa si chiude con gli sguardi rivolti al cielo per lo spettacolo dei '''fuochi d’artificio'''.
