Rappresentano una tradizione molto antica i fischietti e le campanelle di terracotta realizzati dagli '''artigiani''' di Lecce. Fino a pochi decenni fa erano protagonisti di occasioni di festa cittadine, mentre negli ultimi anni l’artigianato della terracotta è sempre più richiesto e anima alcune '''fiere''' nel centro storico.

'''Portano fortuna''' e scacciano la malasorte, questi piccoli manufatti che assumono le forme più disparate. I fischietti, infatti, vengono modellati a forma di animali da cortile, personaggi vari e invenzioni fantasiose, per poi essere dipinti con '''colori sgargianti''' e regalati a grandi e piccini.

Le campanelle di terracotta rallegrano in particolar modo il '''periodo pasquale''' e sono caratterizzate da '''decorazioni multicolore''', con fiori e motivi geometrici.
