Lecce si trasforma in un “'''red carpet'''” preparandosi ad accogliere registi e attori giunti da tutto il mondo per il Festival del Cinema Europeo.

In primavera, il Cinema Massimo interrompe la programmazione abituale per dare il benvenuto ad alcuni tra i nomi più noti del '''panorama cinematografico italiano e internazionale''', con una programmazione ricca e variegata di proiezioni ma anche mostre, eventi collaterali in tutta la città e numerose occasioni per il pubblico di incontrare i '''miti del grande schermo'''.

Ogni edizione è caratterizzata inoltre dall’omaggio a '''un grande regista''', presentandone le opere e celebrandolo con un premio alla carriera. Ma c’è spazio anche per gli '''emergenti''' e per gli autori di '''cortometraggi'''.
