A settembre Lecce si fa teatro per accogliere le iniziative del Festival Salento Classica, un omaggio della città ai più celebri compositori e musicisti di tutti i tempi.

A organizzare la rassegna è la '''Fondazione Ico “Tito Schipa”''' di Lecce, che dal 2013 accoglie nella città barocca '''artisti giunti da ogni parte del mondo''', pronti a emozionare il pubblico con indimenticabili esibizioni in cui i musicisti salentini suonano fianco a fianco con ospiti illustri.

Le melodie classiche risuonano in alcuni degli spazi più suggestivi, come il chiostro del Palazzo dei Celestini, accanto alla chiesa di Santa Croce. Tra i '''“grandi” della musica''' celebrati nelle passate edizioni, ci sono Ludwig Van Beethoven e Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
