La festa patronale di San Cesario di Lecce è dedicata al santo da cui la cittadina prende il nome. La solennità di '''San Cesario''' si celebra la quarta domenica di luglio, per ricordare l’arrivo in paese della '''reliquia''' del santo di origini africane.

La '''processione''', le messe solenni e i concerti della banda nel paese addobbato con le luminarie caratterizzano la cosiddetta '''festa “grande”''' d’estate. A questa si aggiungevano due altre occasioni durante l’anno per rendere omaggio al patrono.

La prima, detta '''“San Cesario del Sindaco”''' si svolge il 7 novembre e coincide con la festa liturgica del santo patrono. La seconda, ormai caduta in disuso, era chiamata dai fedeli “San Cesario te le tritici focare” (San Cesario dei tredici falò), e si svolgeva a febbraio.
